Virginia: A snowstorm, which dumped over a foot of snow in some places, caused multiple crashes on I-95 in eastern Virginia. Some of the accidents involved tractor-trailers jackknifing. Over a hundred people were trapped with no way to get off the 50 mile stretch of frozen I-95. Vehicles became stuck early Monday, and I-95 opened up again Tuesday evening. Some vehicles ran out of gas trying to keep warm in the freezing temperatures. U.S. Senator Tim Kaine and NBC News reporter Josh Lederman were among the trapped people. Some people even tried to walk to the nearest exit.
