6:57 AM: Russian troops have entered Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and the Kremlin claimed it would talk only after Ukraine stopped fighting.

8:50 AM: Russia claims that they have cut Kyiv off and taken control of a key airport, which will allow Russia to airlift troops directly into Kyiv’s outskirts.

8:55 AM: An entire garrison of Ukrainian soldiers were killed on the Ukraine’s Snake Island after the soldiers refused to surrender and yelled to a Russian warship, “Go f*** yourself!”

9:10 AM: Russia arrested almost 2,000 protestors in 54 cities, including 957 in Moscow.

10:50 AM: Newsweek is reporting that Russian forces have launched an assault on an orphanage and kindergarten in Okhtyrka, a small city located in Ukraine’s Sumy province. Casualties including some children have been reported but not the exact numbers. Severe injuries have occurred there also. Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba has called for an investigation at the Hague for whoever is responsible.

12:33 PM: Russia has lost momentum but could intensify it’s invasion as Russian President Putin undercut offer of talks.

4:03 PM: President Joe Biden announced sanctions will be imposed against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle. This includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the national security team.

7:01 PM: Russia vetoed the United Nations resolution calling for the halt to the unprovoked assault on Ukraine.

9:55 PM: According to CNN and BBC, Russian forces are attacking Kyiv from multiple directions.
