A federal judge rejected former President Trump’s assertion of executive privilege that he was using to try to block the release of hundreds of pages of documents that the House select committee investigating the January 6th insurrection. The U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote that he was unlikely to succeed on the merits of his claim saying, “Presidents are not king, and Plaintiff is not President.”
