The Oklahoma Supreme Court voted (5-2) to overturn a $465 million judgment against Johnson and Johnson in a lawsuit by the state that J&J was fueling the opioid epidemic through their deceptive marketing of painkillers. The ruling was that the trial judge went too far by holding J&J liable under Oklahoma’s public nuisance law.
