The U.S. House of Representatives approved, 221-209, raising the debt limit by $2.5 trillion to put off the threat if a default until after the 2022 midterm elections. Earlier in the day the Senate passed it, 50-49. The bill heads to the President’s desk for President Joe Biden’s signature on it.
