The Kentucky Derby 2021 winner Medina Spirit was officially disqualified for testing positive for the substance betamethasone. Medina Spirit died late last year of a heart attack. The trainer Bob Baffert was suspended for 90 days starting March 8 and running through June 5. They also fined Baffert $7,500.
