12:58 AM: The United States are rushing more weapons and munitions to Ukraine as Russia has escalated their attacks.
4:12 AM: Secretary of State Antony Blinken has publicly questioned whether Russia should still be allowed to be a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council after the war crimes committed in Ukraine. Blinken said that Russia has committed “horrific human rights abuses” during their invasion of Ukraine.
4:20 AM: Senior Pentagon officials have said that there are some Russian troops fighting in Ukraine who are surrendering to Ukrainian troops or sabotaging their vehicles rather than fighting Ukraine. Some are very young servicemen who are poorly trained for the invasion and also on the equipment that they soldiers are fighting with.
6:47 AM: Russia claims that the country has taken control of the major city of Kherson in eastern Ukraine. At least 136 civilians and 2,000 Russian soldiers are said to have been killed.
7:44 AM: Russian forces have resumed airstrikes on the central section of Kharkiv. Ukraine’s second largest city. Russia is continuing to pound other cities as well.
7:58 AM: Apple, Ford Motors and Dell computers are pulling their computers out of Russia.
12:21 PM: A missile attack on the regional police department in Kharkiv killed at least 21 people and wounded at least 112.
12:46 PM: Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich is reportedly trying to sell the English Soccer league team Chelsea FC. United Kingdom lawmakers are calling for him to face the same sanctions as other Russian oligarchs.
12:55 PM: Russian Major General Igor Konashenkov has stated that 498 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine and 1597 troops have been wounded in combat.
4:13 PM: Russia took control of the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine, which makes it the first major city in Ukraine to fall to the Russians since their invasion began.
