The United States and its G-7 allies has responded to Russia’s widely believed to be illegitimate referendums to annex 4 regions of Ukraine. They have issued new sanctions and also warned nations that they could get sanctions if they support Russia’s annexation of the regions. U.S. President Joe Biden said, “Russia is violating international law, trampling on the United Nations charter, and showing its contempt for peaceful nations everywhere.”
