Angela Lansbuty has died at the age of 96, just 5 days shy of her 97th birthday. Lansbury achieved her most famous character playing Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote which lasted for years on CBS. Some other major roles were in big movies such as: 1944’s National Velvet and Gaslight, 1948’s The Three Musketeers, 1949’s Samson and Delilah, 1958’s The Long, Hot Summer, 1961’s Blue Hawaii, 1962’s The Manchurian Candidate, 1965’s The Greatest Story Ever Told, 1971’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks, 1984’s tv mini-series Lace, 1996’s Mrs. Santa Claus, and 1991’s Beauty and the Beast and 1997’s Anastasia.
