Washington, D.C.: The House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy has failed to get enough support in the second ballot for the Speaker of the House. For the first time since 1923, there has been multiple ballots on a floor vote for Speaker of the House. In both rounds, 19 Republican Representatives voted against him.
