Georgia’s QB Stetson Bennett won offensive MVP for the game throwing 18 out of 25 attempts for 304 yards and throwing for 4 touchdowns. Bennett also ran for 2 touchdowns. He is the first player to win the award twice. Javon Bullard won the defensive MVP trophy.
The Georgia Bulldogs are the first team in playoff history to score 17 points in the first quarter and lead 38-7 at halftime. They are the third team in the history of college football to win the national championship in back to back seasons: Nebraska Cornhuskers 1994-95 & Alabama Crimson Tide 2011-12.
