Montgomery, Ill.: Multiple fatalities happened in central Illinois following a dust storm occurred along I-55. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, the accidents happened around 11 a.m. Central Time near mile marker 76 in south-central Illinois’ Montgomery County, Authorities closed I-55 between mile markers 52 and 80. The accidents involved 40 to 60 passenger vehicles and multiple tractor-trailers. 2 semi trucks caught fire. At least 30 people were taken to hospitals.
