Brooklyn, NY: U.S. Rep. George Santos (R) is in custody. He was charged in federal court yesterday. The charges have now been opened to the public. The federal prosecutors are charging Santos with 7 counts of wire fraud, 3 counts of money laundering, 2 counts of making false statements to the U.S. House of Representatives and 1 count of theft of public funds.
