Russia generals have accused Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group, of attempting a coup in Russia, as a feud between Prigozhin and the Russian military has escalated. The Wagner Group’s mercenary force has greatly helped the Russian military’s war effort in Ukraine. In the last several months, Prigozhin has openly complained Russia’s top military leaders of alleged corruption and using regular soldiers as cannon fodder. Tonight, he called for retaliation against the Russian Defense Ministry after Russian forces allegedly attacked his forces.
