The NFL has suspended the Indianapolis Colts cornerback Isaiah Rodgers and defensive end Rashod Berry, along with free agent defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor for violations of the league’s gambling policy. The players have been suspended for at least the full 2023 season plus another 6 games. The 3 players must sit out fot the entire season before seeking reinstatement. The NFL said the 3 players were found to have placed wagers on NFL Games in the 2022 season.
The NFL also suspended Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere for six games for placing bets at the team’s facility on non-NFL games.
The Colts announced later on Thursday that the team had waived both Rodgers and Berry.
ESPN is reporting that an online sportsbook account which was used by Rodgers had placed over 100 bets, including once involving the Colts.
