Washington, D.C.: The United States Supreme Court has struck down affirmative action for admissions to colleges, in a major reversal to previous rulings. The ruling bans the use of race as a factor for being admitted to colleges. The justices ruled that Harvard and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill were discriminating illegally based on the person’s race.
