Malibu, CA,: NFL Hall of Fame football player & actor Dick Butkus has died at the age of 80. Butkus was found unresponsive at his home. He entered the Hall of Fame in 1979. Butkus played his entire career with the Chicago Bears, which he played for from 1965 to 1973. He started all 119 games he played for the Bears, earning six All-NFL selections, two Defensive Player of the Year honors and was selected for eight Pro Bowls. He had 1,020 tackles, 22 interceptions and 27 fumble recoveries over nine seasons. After his NFL career was over, Butkus turned to acting after his career was over, bring in numerous tv shows and movies.
