Washington, D.C.: During the suprised session of the January 6th committee hearing, former White House Chief of Staff top aide Cassidy Hitchinson testified the former president Donald Trump spoke of violence being possible on January 6. Hutchinson said, “I recall hearing the words ‘Oathkeepers’ and the words ‘Proud Boys’, closer to the planning of the January 6 rally when Mr. Giuliani would be around.”
Hutchinson also testified that the former president was told that the protestors rallying on January 6th had weapons, but he told officials to “let my people in.” Trump wanted security precautions lifted saying, “They’re not here to hurt me.” Trump also physically grabbed the steering wheel of the presidential limosuine and attacked the Secret Service agent when he was told they would not take him to the capitol.
Also coming out in her testimony was that after the assault on the United States Capitol former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani both sought pardons from former president Trump.
