Tallahassee, FL- Florida State University determined that 3 professors were guilty of sexual misconduct.
Ross May, 38, was the associate director of FSU’s Family Institute, and he pressured a student to get drunk and held her “in a forceful way ” in a photo and bet another $50 that he would sleep with her by the end of their semester. May was fired for his actions.
David Gilbert, 62, was accused by a graduate student, who said he sent her sexually suggestive email in January, 2020. In the email, the professor described erotic dreams of the student and said it would happen with her. Gilbert was suspended without pay, so he quit and went to another school to teach.
John Gainsford, a music professor was allowed to stay with the university after sleeping with 3 students.
