A “flesh eating” sexually transmitted infection which causes “beefy red” ulcers on the genitals is going around the United Kingdom. According to the CDC, the STI, donovanosis, is more common in India, Australia, Papua New Guinea, South Africa and the Caribbean. This STI, according to the researchers, has been growing in numbers of cases since 2016. The STI gives you thick sores on the genital region and can damage body tissue. It doesn’t actually eat flesh, but the STI gets that nickname from its gory appearance.
