Washington, D.C.: The United States Supreme Court rejected a G.O.P. redistricting claim in the North Carolina election case by voting 6-3 in Moore vs. Harper. The Court rejected the Republican claim which allowed the state legislature, by itself, to change the election rules. The Court said that state legislatures don’t have sole authority to set rules for federal elections without interference from state judges.
